– Dongguan Mansheng Automation Equipment Co., Ltd. (“Mansheng Automation”) recently officially launched its second production base in Xiegang Town, Dongguan. With a total investment of ¥120 million, the facility covers 15,000 m² of land and 22,000 m² of floor space, integrating R&D testing, parts machining, complete machine assembly, and finished goods warehousing. At full capacity, Mansheng’s total annual output will surge from 2,000 units to over 5,000 units, making it one of the largest intelligent coating equipment manufacturing bases in South China.
Driven by rapid automation upgrades in new energy vehicles, 3C electronics, home appliances, and PV energy storage, orders for Mansheng’s 6th generation 360° high speed rotating automatic spraying machines have grown continuously. The company achieved 65% year on year sales growth in 2024, with lead times stretching to four months. To ease delivery pressure and shorten customer waiting periods, Mansheng began construction in early 2024 and completed the facility in 14 months. The new factory uses a flexible production line layout that supports 1–12 axis multi function spraying machines, overhead lines, ground rail lines, flat lines, and full automatic cleanroom coating lines. It features automated AS/RS, AGV material delivery, and online assembly testing lines, boosting assembly efficiency by about 40%. “When fully operational, we will deliver over 400 standard spraying machines per month, and lead times for custom projects will drop from 60 days to around 35 days,” said Mansheng’s Production Director. “This supports fast expansion for domestic clients and provides stable capacity for export orders.”
Unlike traditional assembly plants, the new factory heavily adopts digital management and intelligent inspection equipment. The MES system covers the entire process from material incoming to final testing, with barcode traceability for all key components. Critical parts – including high speed rotating atomizers, multi axis motion controllers, and flow control valves – are assembled and calibrated in a constant temperature, constant humidity room to ensure batch consistency. The final testing area includes 12 multi function spray booth stations that simulate real working conditions for 7×24 hour aging tests. All data is uploaded to the cloud, allowing remote access for after sales support. “The new factory not only expands capacity but also improves quality control and flexible response,” said Mansheng’s General Manager. “Every unit undergoes full testing for at least 48 hours to ensure plug and play performance at the customer site.”
The new factory has created 150 jobs in assembly, electrical engineering, process testing, and logistics. About 30% are fresh graduates, trained through Mansheng’s internal Coating Technology Academy. The company also plans to deepen school enterprise cooperation with Dongguan University of Technology and Dongguan Polytechnic to cultivate specialized talent. “Dongguan is a manufacturing hub, but skilled technicians for automation equipment are in short supply,” said Mansheng’s HR Director. “We aim to train over 100 intelligent coating engineers each year to support our growth and the wider industry.” Xiegang Town officials noted that Mansheng’s new base will strengthen the local intelligent equipment industrial chain and drive supporting industries. It is expected to contribute approximately ¥300 million in annual output value.
Alongside capacity expansion, the new factory includes a 3,000 m² Intelligent Coating Technology Research Center, working with two existing labs to focus on three directions:
Mansheng will maintain annual R&D investment of no less than 12% of revenue over the next three years. The R&D team has grown from 28 to 45 people, targeting 60 by the end of 2025.
Key customers attended the launch and expressed strong support:
In line with China’s “dual carbon” goals, the factory features an 8,000 m² rooftop PV system generating about 900,000 kWh yearly, covering 30% of power demand. A centralized zeolite rotor + RTO exhaust treatment system achieves over 95% VOC removal efficiency. “We provide eco friendly coating equipment, and our own production must also be green and low carbon,” said Mansheng’s EHS Director. The facility has passed environmental approval and operates to green factory standards.
With the new factory, Mansheng now operates a “Guangzhou HQ + two Dongguan bases” network totaling 35,000 m². The company plans to build service and modification centers in Chongqing (Southwest) and Suzhou (East) to improve response times. “Capacity is the foundation, technology is the core, and service is the guarantee,” said the General Manager. “Over the next three years, we aim to become the top brand of domestic intelligent coating equipment while expanding into the global mid to high end market.” The new factory is open for visits and on site spraying trials via official website or sales hotline.
