Automated Continuous Powder Coating Production Line for Automotive Brake Pad Surface Protection

The 600x5B is an automated continuous powder coating production line built by Mansheng Automation for automotive brake pad surface protection. Brake pads travel on a continuous conveyor through pre-treatment, electrostatic powder spraying and curing, so a uniform protective film is formed on the friction surface and the backing plate in one uninterrupted flow. The five-axis rotating coating system keeps the spray gun at a stable distance from each workpiece, which keeps film thickness consistent across the whole batch.

1. Loading: brake pads are fixed on the conveyor fixtures and enter the line without interruption.
2. Pre-treatment: workpieces are cleaned and preheated so the powder adheres evenly to the metal surface.
3. Electrostatic powder spraying: the five-axis rotating coating system follows the contour of each pad and coats the friction surface and edges from multiple angles.
4. Curing: coated pads pass through the curing oven, where the powder melts and cross-links into a continuous, firmly bonded film.
5. Unloading and inspection: finished pads leave the line for film thickness, adhesion and appearance checks.

The 600x5B is used for powder coating brake pads on passenger car and commercial vehicle production lines. The same continuous spraying principle suits other flat metal parts that need an even decorative or protective coating, including brake discs, brackets and stamped hardware components.
